Feminist Lens: Senior ProjectBelow: Artifact 13.1, email exchange
Top right: Artifact 13.2, brainstorming T-Chart from AH's lesson Bottom right: Class assignment for AH's lesson Missing: PowerPoint used during lesson From AH, Thu 3/20/2014 8:51 PM hey Ms. k can you send me the power point? From me, Hi [AH], Thu 3/20/2014 8:56 PM I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but here is the PP I used to introduce the feminist perspective to your class. A lot of my introduction was aloud and in conversation, I don't like to put too much to read in the PP, so this is minimal… I recommend that you do the following: --Use the chart we have been using to define the terms on slides --add some images that students will find interesting or provocative --figure out a way to use a song with the class, put the lyrics on a slide, and make copies for the class Hope this helps! From AH, Thu 3/20/2014 10:17 PM sorry to bother you again Ms. K but who was the man that portray this view? (so I can do some quick research on him) From me, Thu 3/20/2014 10:21 PM Hi [AH], I'm not sure who you are referring to. Can you be more specific? From AH, Thu 3/20/2014 11:07 PM remember when the first day you introduce us to the Feminist perceptive? I remember you saying this guy name and you read a quote from him From me, Thursday, March 20, 2014 11:13 PM Oh, yes- I deleted that slide because it was a quote by Sigmund Freud, inventor of psychoanalysis, and I showed it to you to illustrate the non-feminist view of the psychoanalysts (the focus of our last unt). It wouldn't make sense for you to use this quote, though. From AH, Thu 3/20/2014 11:15 PM oh okay I understand Quote from AH teaching to English 2, 9th period, 4/3/14 "Look at our list--women are downgraded, and men are in the upper, the upper echelon to women" (AH) |
